Nashville, TN — Multi-platinum, global entertainer Chris Young has set a new career first-week streaming record for his newest album. Famous Friends, Chris’s “most personal album to date” (Forbes ), opens at No. 3 on the Billboard Top Country albums chart, with 23,760 equivalent album units earned in the U.S. for his 8th studio project. The single week 12.7 million streaming tally for Famous Friends marks a 118% increase over his prior album, Losing Sleep . In addition, the Gold certified, multi-week chart-topping title track collaboration with Kane Brown notches a 10th week inside the Top 5 on Billboard’s country radio chart as the CMT Music Awards Collaborative Video of the Year tops CMT’s Hot 20 Countdown this week.
