Nashville Songwriters Pen “This Too Shall Pass” to Raise Funds for Victims of Middle Tennessee from Recent Tornado Outbreak

Now Available Through All Streaming Platforms and Digital Retailers

“This Won’t Last Forever, In Times Like This We All ComeTogether”

Nashville, TN. – Nashville Songwriters, Troy Castellano, Nancy Deckant, and Jacob Hackworth, strongly impacted by the recent F4 tornado outbreak that tore through Middle Tennessee devastating homes, families, and businesses on March 3rd, joined forces to write a song, “This Too Shall Pass,” to help raise funds for the victims. The track is currently available through all streaming platforms and digital retailers and all proceeds will be split between Cookeville-Putnam County Tornado Relief Fund and Middle Tennessee Emergency Response Fund. Listen to the song here, which features Jacob Hackworth. They also created a lyric video with chilling still shots from the devastation. Watch the video here.

The catchy, up-tempo song produced by Castellano at his My Blue Heaven Studio offers listeners hope and encouragement beyond what the songwriters could have ever originally imagined. Since the conception of “This Too Shall Pass,” the meaning behind the song becomes even more powerful surrounding the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic as the writers relay their poignant message. “We wrote this a few days after the tornadoes hit with the intent of helping to raise money for the families affected. It seems a bit out of place with the onset of the pandemic yet the message is now even more powerful as everyone worldwide is banning together to flatten the curve and find cures for this devastating disease,” Castellano added.

When the songwriters got together to write, this concept came to them immediately. “I just wanted to help in any way I could,” said artist Jacob Hackworth and as the trio began, the song came to life. “I remember sitting there thinking, some people resurrect torn down homes. Our greatest skill is writing songs for people who resurrect torn down homes. I’m so grateful we could do this,” commented Nancy Deckant.

Troy Castellano, an experienced organizer of charitable giving as the founder of Instruments For Education, a 501(c)(3) non-profit that collects instrument donations from Middle Tennessee-area musicians and provides them to teachers in the area for their school classrooms said, “People are so generous, I know they will help. Let’s write a song, record it and donate all the proceeds to tornado relief.” Castellano went on to say, “We wanted to put this out with links to area tornado organizations to help those who lost their homes, businesses and in some cases loved ones. The victims of the tornado are in even greater need now! We encourage anyone who can to make a donation and to share the video in hopes of raising more awareness.” Instruments for Education also recently raised $500 with an instrument auction and donated it to Putnam County Tornado Relief.

With the one-two punch of the tornadoes and Coronavirus pandemic, the songwriters are hoping to inspire continued giving to those still working to get back on their feet. Below are some links where you can donate:
