NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Nashville singer-songwriter Greg Wilson has been living the life of a true country song. Last year, Wilson was diagnosed with bladder cancer and underwent numerous treatments including double chemo and radiation simultaneously. On March 17, co-hosts Debi Champion and Lee Rascone, Sr.along with songwriters Jill L. Sissel, Billy Lee, Jimmy Payne, Jenna Longmire, Jet Taylor, Gary Cavanaugh, Karree J Phillips, John Trentes, Ty Warner, Marc-Allan Barnette, Paul Jefferson, Donnie Winters, Kimberley Dahme, Pete Sallis, Joel Shewmake, Pam Belford, Jerry Foster, Mac Elliott, Annie Mosher, Jamie Meyer, James Peters and more will perform starting at 6:30pm at the Commodore Holiday Inn (Vanderbilt on West End) to help raise money to cover medical costs.

While enduring cancer treatments, Wilson developed blood clots in his legs, which led to vascular issues and ultimately Wilson was faced with the amputation of a toe as well as causing a stroke.

Donna Wilson, Greg’s wife of 20 years, refers to her husband as “My Miracle Man.” His surviving 2018 was certainly miraculous, however bills are mounting. “I am so thankful for the the Nashville songwriting community,” says Donna. “Everyone is a tight knit bunch and I can’t thank everyone enough for what they are doing for Greg.”

In addition, the legendary Little River Band is going to match donations given during the benefit. A GoFundMe has been set up at www.gofundme.com/Gregs-Cancer-4-Surgeries-Stroke-Relief-Fund.
