nashville-arts-and-entertainment-magNashville, Tennessee – Nashville Arts & Entertainment Magazine, the ultimate guide to the best Nashville has to offer in music, theater, sports, art, food, drink and more, has announced the recipients of the 3rd Annual Nashville Arts and Entertainment Honors. The 2016/17 issue, which is available now, recognizes platinum selling artist Keith Urban, Contemporary Christian icon Michael W. Smith, Community Foundation President, Ellen Lehman, and Studio Tenn Theater Company co-founders Jake Speck & Matt Logan. Five remarkable Nashvillians whose lives and work in music, the visual and performing arts, business and philanthropy have positively impacted our city in countless ways.

Singer, songwriter, guitar slinger and producer Keith Urban has racked up 19 #1 singles from eight studio albums and reigns as the artist with the most consecutive top 10 songs on Billboard’s Country Airplay Chart. The four-time GRAMMY Award winner also has a mantle full of trophies from the CMA, ACM, CMT, AMA, People’s Choice, Teen Choice and more.

The first and only Country artist to have served as an American Idol judge, Urban’s reputation as a premier songwriter, vocalist, musician and virtuoso guitarist has afforded him the opportunity to collaborate with the likes of The Rolling Stones, John Mayer, Steven Tyler, Miranda Lambert, John Mellencamp, Alicia Keys, Tim McGraw and Taylor Swift, Vince Gill and Eric Church.

Urban resides in Nashville with his wife, actress Nicole Kidman, and their two daughters.

To acknowledge the tremendous spirit of giving and encouragement these honorees embody, Nashville Arts & Entertainment Magazine, a Glover Group Entertainment Production, is pleased to make a $1,000 donation to the affiliated charity honoree. For Keith Urban, the donation will be presented to Habitat for Humanity Greater Nashville.
