Nashville, Tennessee – The 26th Annual Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival Presented by Regions Bank is right around the corner, and each year receipts from the door of one show are donated to a local non-profit organization. This year’s beneficiary is Musicians Corner, a program of The Conservancy for the Parthenon and Centennial Park, set for Friday, April 6, 6:30 p.m. at The Local and is scheduled to feature Kris Allen, Leigh Nash, Tony Lucca, Emily West.

“The Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI) has long been a promoter of Musicians Corner and worked with them for years cultivating Tin Pan South shows,” said NSAI Senior Director of Operations Jennifer Purdon Turnbow. “Our organizations have common goals and interests and we are happy to be able to more tangibly support Musicians Corner with a financial contribution this year that also allows us to work together creatively.”

Musicians Corner supports emerging artists, and provides inclusive arts enrichment and educational programming for adults and youth. The program presents free music events in Nashville’s downtown Centennial Park in partnership with the City of Nashville and local music industry, showcasing over 1,000 artists since its inception in 2010 and presenting legends like Emmylou Harris, Vince Gill, The Blind Boys Of Alabama, and Preservation Hall Jazz Band. As part of the Centennial Park Restoration, a permanent home was built for Musicians Corner as a cultural meeting place of community engagement that promotes arts education, supports artists, and fosters a love of the arts among adults and children.

Produced by Nashville Songwriters Association International (NSAI), the 26th Annual Tin Pan South Songwriters Festival Presented by Regions Bank will take place April 3-7, 2018 at 10 of Nashville’s top music venues.
