Mitch Goudy Wraps Up CMA Music Festival with a “Best One Man Show” Feature

As one of CMA’s Who New To Watch Artists, chart-topping country artist “Rowdie” Mitch Goudy wrapped up his third year at the CMA Music Festival in Nashville, TN with appearances and autograph signings at his booth inside Fan Fair X hall, along with several performances throughout the week and endless media interviews, earning him a spot in Rolling Stone’s “25 Best Things We Saw at CMA Music Fest 2016.”
Goudy’s performances during this four-day music festival started with an acoustic set at Nashville Street Tacos followed by a PLAtinum Acoustic Fan Jam at the famous Wildhorse Saloon. He was joined alongside artists including Third Floor Records label mate Diana Upton-Hill, traditional hit country artist Ashton Shepherd, and successful songwriter Lance Carpenter (Kelsea Ballerini Love Me Like You Mean It). He finished on a high note with a packed performance on the Music City Stage inside the Bridgestone Arena. This is where he caught the eye of Rolling Stone where they said “Mitch Goudy pumped out a solo set with all the energy of a four-piece band packed into his acoustic guitar…Between songs, he spoke breathlessly, gulping air between sentences as if fueling up for the next lap. Never did his tank hit empty.”
With previous hits including his last release My Girl’s Hand, Goudy has been called “the new Brad Paisley,” “one of country music’s bright new stars,” and “the mainstream Michael Buble.” He is gearing up to release his new “hybrid-country” album which is tentatively scheduled for late 2016. “Think electronic meets country infused music,” says Mitch. “I want to create country music that people want to dance to and just have a good time.”
Goudy has a great relationship with his ever expanding group of devoted fans “Goudy’s Rowdies.” Hailing from the cornfields of southeast Iowa, Goudy grew up with a sense of pride about who he is and a strong notion of what he believes. His interest in country music began when he first picked up a guitar after suffering a traumatic knee injury that would forever limit his ability to play sports. His dad bought him that first guitar, put it in his hands and said, “Let’s see what you can do.” At that moment, Goudy found his passion and never gave up on it. Since then, he’s been rocking stages large and small across the country. He is currently being sponsored by STAY OUTDOORS, a premier website that assembles outdoor vacations for nature fans.
