Maggie Rose Celebrates Thistle Farms This Holiday Season

Ads will run in Nashville area through the end of 2016

CMT Next Woman of Country to host show at Thistle Farms on Dec. 6

Maggie Rose’s current single “Love Me More” showcased her as “one of country music’s rising storytellers” (Washington Post). The track shares the story of a woman traveling through the journey of accepting her flaws and recognizing her own beauty, with the lyrics “[exuding] both confidence and vulnerability” (Rolling Stone Country).

The message of the track is exceptionally honest and universal, driving Maggie to support Nashville non-profit Thistle Farms this holiday season. Thistle Farms is a community of female survivors healing from anything from prostitution, abuse or addiction. Through a series of social enterprises, Thistle Farms provides housing, jobs, food, healthcare, therapy and education to help restore these women’s lives. The women who come to Thistle Farms have a universal story, and the organization provides a sanctuary for them by providing them a safe place to recover, tying perfectly into the message of “Love Me More”: accepting the beauty of your scars, embracing who you are and realizing that Love Heals. “I am overwhelmed by the response to ‘Love Me More,’ particularly in how it resonates with the female audience,” says Maggie. “The message is about self acceptance, putting yourself first, refusing to underestimate your value and identifying the relationships and situations that might make you do so. In the most bleak situations, the inspiring women at Thistle Farms have pulled themselves up and together they spread the message that Love Heals. It is an honor to lend my song to their cause.”

Hal Cato, Thistle Farms CEO adds, “Maggie Rose’s themes of self-respect and honesty resonate deeply with the women of Thistle Farms. We are grateful for her message of empowerment for woman and are thankful to Maggie for helping us carry the message of Love Heals to a wider audience. Her show in December at Thistle Stop Cafe, will be a celebration of the universal themes that connect us all. We are looking forward to entering the holidays with a joined message of hope and love.”

A series of ads will run in and around Nashville through the end of the year, featuring Maggie performing at a piano in the Thistle Stop Cafe, where she will host a free show on Tues., Dec. 6 at 7pm.
