NEW YORK – SiriusXM today announced the broadcast of SiriusXM’s first-ever Highway Finds Fest, a 3-day virtual Country music festival starting on Friday, July 17 on SiriusXM’s The Highway channel.
Over the past decade, The Highway has helped to launch acts such as Florida Georgia Line, Kelsea Ballerini, Luke Combs, Maren Morris, Old Dominion, Sam Hunt and many others, as a part of the channel’s ‘Highway Finds’ spotlight. This weekend, some of the most successful ‘finds’ on The Highway can be ‘found’ sharing the virtual music stage: Luke Combs headlines Friday’s broadcast, while Maren Morris closes things out on Saturday and Sam Hunt rounds out the weekend on Sunday.
SiriusXM’s Highway Finds Fest will feature exclusive, new performance sets broadcast each day from artists’ homes. The three-day broadcast will also feature performances from artists including Kelsea Ballerini, Chris Janson, Carly Pearce, Chase Rice, Cole Swindell, Brett Young and many more. Former ‘Highway Finds’ artists, Ingrid Andress, Gabby Barrett, Ashley McBryde and Niko Moon will serve festival emcees.
Listeners can experience Highway Finds Fest starting on Friday, July 17 at 12:00 pm ET through Sunday, July 19, on SiriusXM radios (channel 56) and on the SiriusXM app.
Following Sunday’s Sam Hunt performance, SiriusXM’s Highway Finds Fest will feature a special broadcast of Florida Georgia Line’s 2019 exclusive performance for SiriusXM’s subscribers from the Ryman Auditorium.
In April 2020, The Washington Post profiled The Highway, touting the successful reputation of the ‘Highway Finds’ platform, both within the Country music industry and amongst listeners, as ‘finding’ and catapulting the careers of new Country artists. The Washington Post asked Old Dominion’s lead vocalist, Matthew Ramsey, if the band owed their career to The Highway, which crowned the band a ‘Highway Find’ in 2014.
