Lucie Silvas Releases Vevo Live Performance Video For “E.G.O.”

As the rise of women in country music begins to take its long-overdue flight, Lucie Silvas has rightfully claimed her spot on the manifest. Her country-soul vocals meets Americana vibe is perfectly showcased in her recent Vevo Live Performance video of “E.G.O.”

Co-written by Silvas, Elise Hayes and Natalie Hemby, the title track of her 2018 album offers a tongue-in-cheek view of how materialistic we are, both personally and as a society. Always stroking egos; sometimes it’s involuntary, other times with the intent of getting something back in return:

How can you help me?
How does it help you?
Show me your résumé
And I’ll show you mine, too

I wanna be celebrated
And lit up on the marquee
And it’s overrated
But we think it’s everything

I drink the Kool-Aid, you’re drinking mine, too
What if we exaggerate?
You’re the greatest, I’m the greatest

Donned in an awesome petal boa top and killer platform shoes, Lucie’s powerful bluesy vocals soar along with electric guitar, bass and percussion. Check out the Vevo Live Performance video of “E.G.O.” below:
