Summer’s First “Opry Loves The 90s” Plaza Party Kicks Off May 27

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – LOCASH and The Beach Boys are scheduled to officially kick off the summer for the Grand Ole Opry with their performances scheduled for Friday, May 27. Uniting for LOCASH’s current single, “Beach Boys” featuring Mike Love and longtime bandmate Bruce Johnston, this will mark the Opry debut of The Beach Boys – one of the most critically acclaimed and commercially successful bands of all time. Other artists scheduled to perform include Lorrie Morgan and Darryl Worley. Highlights from the show will be featured in an airing of Opry Live later this summer.

The first “Opry Loves the 90s” Plaza Party of the summer kicks off earlier that afternoon with a performance by Warner Nashville sister duo Walker County (May 27, 28), celebrating one of the most influential decades in country music. “Opry Loves The 90s” Plaza Party, sponsored by Truist, Mid-South Ford Dealers and Dollar General, will run throughout the summer and include food trucks, multiple photo ops, vendors, and feature performances by Hannah Ellis (June 7), Ray Fulcher (June 11) and more to be announced in the coming weeks.

Opry performances scheduled for CMA Fest Week include shows on Tues., June 7, Thurs., June 9, Fri., June 10, and Sat., June 11, as well as a Saturday matinee performance of Opry Country Classics at the Ryman Auditorium. Among those scheduled that week include Bill Anderson, Sara Evans, Vince Gill, Mickey Guyton, Scotty McCreery, Oak Ridge Boys, Jon Pardi, Carrie Underwood, and Morgan Wade, among many others.
