NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter Linda Davis joined Country duo Trick Pony (Heidi Newfield and Keith Burns), hit songwriter Eddy Raven, singer-songwriter and CMT Next Women of Country’s Kalie Shorr, SiriusXM Highway Find Adam Doleac and Nashville songwriter Taylor Phillips at Thursday’s performance of the Nashville House Concerts series at War Memorial Auditorium.

The monthly music and variety series, co-hosted on the first Thursday of each month by SiriusXM’s Storme Warren and Country artist Joe Denim, featured Davis performing “I Wanna Remember This,” “Some Things Are Meant to Be” and “Love Remains;” Trick Pony performing “Pour Me” and “Johnny and June;” Raven performing “I Got Mexico” and “Thank God for Kids;” Shorr performing “Two Hands” and “Awake,” Doleac performing “Whiskey is Fine” and “Bigger Than Us” and Phillips performing “Hurricane.”

Taking on the series’ signature “Songwriter Challenge,” in which guests are tasked with writing a new song using audience-suggested words, Doleac and Phillips worked together to write “Sonic Tater Tots” with words like chrysalis, birthday, tingle, toilet, tater tots, conundrum and sassafras.

Bandleader Denim also performed “Someone Put a Drunk in My Drink” with the backing of the It Is What It Is Band, including Dink Cook on bass (Toby Keith), Mica Roberts (Toby Keith) and Marty Slayton on background vocals, Takeio Stroud (Big & Rich) on drums, Mike Durham (top session player) and Rich Eckhardt (Toby Keith) on dueling guitars.

Every performance of the monthly series showcases a diverse blend of talent from chart-topping artists, music legends, rising stars and accomplished songwriters and includes musical performances, imaginative interviews, surprise guests and unpredictable fun. Lineups for upcoming months will be announced soon. After all, you never know who is going to show up.

Upcoming guests include Joe Nichols, Charles Esten, Shenandoah, JT Hodges, Craig Campbell and Gary Hannan (“Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off”).

Presented by Coca-Cola with partners Chef’s Market, Music City Light, NASH Icon 95.5 FM and NASH 103.3 FM, Nashville House Concerts are on the first Thursday of each month through June 2018. The show is from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. CT.
