When faced with unsettling situations, either personally or en masse, we turn to music to help calm, escape, uplift. These days our world needs a lot of all three, and Russell Dickerson‘s new apropos single “Good Day To Have A Great Day” arrived right on time.
“I wrote ‘Good Day To Have A Great Day’ about my life motto. Is every single day of your life amazing? Maybe not. But 99 percent of the time, you can choose to make it the best day ever,” Dickerson recently shared. “I hope this song lifts people up!”
The song kicks off with an upbeat tempo and chants of “have a great day” making it completely impossible to not bop along. Clichés of happiness intertwine throughout the lyrics as the sound of genuine positivity flows from Dickerson’s vocals. The desire to stop and smell the roses hits the listener along with the important reminder to be grateful what you have in life.
