Kyle Daniel‘s exploration between singer-songwriter country, Americana, and southern rock is exemplified in the most ecstatic way with his new EP ‘Following The Rain’, set to be released June 10th.
‘Following The Rain’ is a beautiful, melodic, and emotional journey of music and lyrics. It includes a freshly cooked version of “Hollering’ Hills,” and it takes the listener from heavy lyrics about a world being divided, to Kyle singing about running away from his insecurities, and chasing his dreams.
But with a beautifully showcased song “Me & My Old Man,” dedicated to his father, he sings about a unique, unrivaled, and beautiful bond between father and son, that will put the listener right in their feelings.
Kyle Daniel and his all-star line-up up of musicians traveled down to Ivy Manor at the Shoals Studio in Muscle Shoals, AL, to record the masterpiece that is ‘Following The Rain‘.
The EP was recorded produced by renowned Nashville producer Brian Elmquist (Member of The Lone Bellow.) Engineered by Christian Paschall (Drums for Maren Morris), and mastered by Dave Harris.
Commenting on the EP, Kyle said: “‘Following the Rain’ came to me in a time, right as the pandemic hit and everything was scattered. Adam Wright, Seth Rentfrow and myself got into a room at Carnival music and I had this specific title burning in my notepad. Little did I know, this was the beginning of another crippling depression. But this time it felt like it was even worse. It felt like this time it wasn’t going to end. I had gone from the top of the world, about to play the O2 arena in London with a superstar country lineup right before the pandemic hit, to a screeching halt.
Everything dealing with my career had hit pause and as a new artist, it was frightening. I felt like I was spinning my wheels and about 2-3 years overdue in a 10-year-town. This is exactly why I wanted to name this EP after this track. This town has shown me a whole lot in the time that I have spent here, but I feel as though my tenacity through the dark clouds has been what has kept my head above water so to speak. Especially during these trying times. I have chased this dream for over half of my life, and I won’t stop until I catch it. Even if I have to keep following the rain”
Kyle Daniel, born & raised in Bowling Green, KY. A young all-star athlete turned music enthusiast, who knew life outside of the small town was not only possible, but a part of the dream.
Since graduating from MTSU, Kyle has been a tour merchandise manager, a session guitarist for major label artists, and has taken on many other roles in the music industry.
Kyle imprinted his own footsteps in Nashville and has begun to lay roots in the Music City of the world, after living there for over a decade. The time is now, Kyle Daniel, is ready to embark on his new journey through “Kentucky Gold”
