Krystal King Returns with a Contemporary Country Love Song

“Slow Love” Available on All Platforms July 24th

Nashville, TN – North Carolina native singer & songwriter, Krystal King, releases highly anticipated single via all major digital media outlets this Friday, July 24. Written and recorded in Nashville with Beaird Music Group, “Slow Love” is a mesmerizing summer love song.

King crafted this song with fellow friend and co-writer John Hemingway. Rich with images of country life and values, this song speaks to the idea of creating a love by sharing time and learning each others stories and hearts. “John had this title and we began reminiscing about our dating experiences and how dating has changed over time.”

King, still a newlywed of just over 2 years; Hemingway having built a life and marriage of 45+ years.  “Despite our different in experiences in dating, we both have marriages that started in friendship. We really valued this idea of a love that is slow and takes it’s time and we both felt it was a meaningful message in such a fast paced world.”

Krystal King moved to Nashville 3 years ago from North Carolina where she worked as a music therapist after attending Appalachian State University. Unable to put aside her dream to be a singer/songwriter, King made her way to Nashville. King released her debut single in 2019 and has begun to make a name for herself and find success through her releases (her Sophmore single reaching over 13K streams on Spotify), winning multiple local songwriting competitions, as well as through her captivating live performances.

“Slow Love” shows a more contemporary side of Krystal’s sound. With a driving pop drum beat and quick rhythmic phrasing, this song still maintains traditional country instrumentation such as steel guitar and forefront southern guitar licks. This song is perfect for a summer “Sunday night drive” in the country.
