NASHVILLE, TENN. — Serenading the late-night audience under sparkling chandeliers, Black River Entertainment’s KELSEA BALLERINI exuded elegance with her chart-climbing single, “I Hate Love Songs,” on CBS’ The Late Late Show with James Corden last night (4/10).

Set upon a stage of regal jewel tones, Ballerini’s sultry style dripped romance with a blush-colored Hayley Paige tuxedo dress and matching Sophia Webster stilettos. Penned by Ballerini alongside Shane McAnally and Trevor Rosen, “I Hate Love Songs” is the follow-up to history-making #1 “Legends,” from her acclaimed sophomore album UNAPOLOGETICALLY.

Sweetly paying tribute to host James Corden, Ballerini tweaked the last line of the “endearingly ironic” (Billboard) ode to “I hate love songs, but Corden I love you.” Corden in turn praised, “That was beautiful.” Earlier in the broadcast, he introduced Ballerini as a “phenomenal singer-songwriter” with “one of the best voices you will ever hear” before her backstage reunion with guest Reba McEntire. Earlier that afternoon, Ballerini revisited E! News’ Daily Pop for a chat. Talking all things marriage, famous people, and seeking love advice from power couple Keith Urban and Nicole Kidman, she dished with hosts Erin Lim and Morgan Stewart.

On Sunday (4/15), the ACM Female Vocalist of the Year and ACM Video of the Year (“Legends”) nominee will perform live from Las Vegas at the 53rd Academy of Country Music Awards. Prior to the award show, fans can see Ballerini participating in the sold-out 95.5 THE BULL’S 10TH ANNUAL ALL-STAR GUITAR PULL (4/12) and the inaugural ACM WORKOUT FOR A CAUSE: ERIN OPREA UNLEASHED TOUR (4/14).

With just five shows left on the nearly sold-out THE UNAPOLOGETICALLY TOUR, The Arlington Theatre in Santa Barbara, CA, (4/25) is the only venue with limited tickets remaining. The annual Stagecoach festival in Indio, CA, (4/27) is her final date before gearing up for Urban’s GRAFFITI U WORLD TOUR as direct support this summer.
