To make it official, Kane was presented with his record certificate at the Sony Music Nashville office in Nashville, Tennessee.

On achieving the record, Kane said, “It feels awesome to be a Guinness World Records title holder and to be the first artist to achieve this with Billboard. I remember being in elementary and middle school and looking at the books for all of the records, and I can’t believe my name gets to be in there now.”

On October 28, 2017, he became the title holder for the First act to top five US country charts simultaneously, including Top Country Albums (Kane Brown Deluxe Edition); Country Digital Song Sales (“Heaven”); and Country Airplay, Hot Country Songs, and Country Streaming Songs (“What Ifs” featuring Lauren Alaina).

When Kane released his self-titled debut in December 2016, it became and remains country’s No. 1 best-selling new-artist album debut since 2014. To date, his album has remained at No.1 on Billboard Top Country Album chart for 8 weeks. And, since its release in December 2016, his debut album has surpassed all country album debuts with the most weeks at No.1; in fact, no other country album has exceeded more than an 8-week run on top of the chart.

Gold-certified current single, “Heaven” which reached No.1 for Country Digital Song Sales, is also currently No.1 on Nielsen’s On Demand Audio Core Country Streaming chart for a second week and No.12 on Billboard and Country Aircheck/Mediabase country airplay charts.

The Double-Platinum certified “What Ifs” featuring Lauren Alaina, his friend and former Middle School choir classmate, topped the Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts with an impressive 45.9 million audience impressions. Nearly 11 million US streams brought the popular single to Billboard’s Country Streaming Songs list. 2018’s most-streamed song, “What Ifs” has held #1 for 18 weeks on Nielsen’s On Demand Audio Core Country Streaming chart.

“I attribute my success to my fans for helping me get to where I am today,” added Kane, the new Guinness World Records title holder and 53rd Academy of Country Music Awards™ nominee. “Music has been a huge part of my life and I feel like it’s a part of everyone’s. I love to sing and never thought I’d be able to do it and it happened for me.”

Kane Brown is nominated for New Male Vocalist of the Year and for Vocal Collaboration for “What Ifs” featuring Lauren Alaina for the ACM Awards which broadcast live on April 15 on CBS.
