NASHVILLE, TN — Multi-Platinum entertainer Jason Aldean brought Music City together Thursday (4/7) to celebrate his 26th career No. One single and heart-pounding duet, “If I Didn’t Love You,” with 8-time GRAMMY® Award winner Carrie Underwood, who celebrates her 28th No. One single. Hosted by BMI in Nashville, the ACM “Single of the Year” and iHeart “Country Song of the Year” was praised for its multi-week run at Country radio while earning PLATINUM status from the RIAA and a GRAMMY® nomination. Aldean and Underwood were joined by producer Michael Knox, “If I Didn’t Love You” songwriters Kurt Allison, Tully Kennedy and first-time chart-toppers John Morgan and Lydia Vaughan.

“From the minute I first heard the demo of this song I knew I had to cut it, and a couple of weeks later Carrie was putting her vocal on it,” said Aldean. “We thought it was going to be good, but it ended up being really special. Big thank you to the writers, Carrie, Country radio, my team and everyone in this room who leaned in on this song – I’m really proud of it.”

“In this case, the old cliche ‘it all starts with a song’ is exactly how it happened,” added Underwood. “The stars lined up so quickly to make this happen, it was all meant to be. Thanks to everyone who helped give this song the light it deserves, it’s been really fun to be part of it.”

It was just announced that “If I Didn’t Love You” has been nominated for Billboard Music Awards “Top Country Song” as it notched the highest ever debut, No. 2, for a duet single between a male and female artist on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart and continues to garner recognition as its nominated for “Video of the Year” and “Collaborative Video of the Year” at the 2022 CMT Music Awards (4/11 at 7:00P CT on CBS). The “Country radio favorite” (CMT) follows Aldean’s latest Top 15 and climbing single “Trouble With A Heartbreak” as the track is now available with the pre-order of the collection’s second installment GEORGIA here, while MACON is fully available here.

The three-time ACM “Entertainer of the Year” has bolstered 26 No. One hits, 15 billion streams and more than 20 million albums sold as “he has blended his own recipe and it’s one that has vaulted him to the pinnacle of Country music success,” (Atlanta Journal Constitution). Notably, seven of Aldean’s previous studio albums have been certified PLATINUM or more and he has the most Top 10 song on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart, more than any other artists, since making his chart debut in 2005. He continues to be one of a card-carrying member of Country’s elite headliners whose incendiary tours are nearing legendary status as his shows are “filled with the perfect mix of rockin’ anthems and raucous drinkin’ songs,” (Herald Extra) Aldean will gear up for the road this summer with his ROCK N’ ROLL COWBOY TOUR as the 34-city trek will launch July 15th in Scranton, PA, with special guests Gabby Barrett, John Morgan and Dee Jay Silver. The multi-Platinum singer has also founded Wolf Moon Bourbon, an 80 proof bourbon that has been distilled from Midwestern grains and aged for four years offering a finish of caramel, oak and spice.
