Jake Hoot to Appear on “The Voice Holiday Celebration” on NBC Tonight

The Holiday Special to Air Hoot and Kelly Clarkson’s
“Wintersong” Duet from Season 17 of The Voice

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Country crooner Jake Hoot is set to appear on The Voice Holiday Celebration special tonight at 8/7c on NBC. The special will air the fan-favorite duet with coach Kelly Clarkson, “Wintersong,” from Hoot’s unprecedented run on Season 17 of The Voice.

Following his record-breaking win on NBC’s The Voice, Hoot has gone on to release several tracks including charitable song “Tennessee Strong,” which reached Top 10 in the iTunes Country Singles chart with and Top 35 on the iTunes All-Genre Chart, and benefitted the survivors of the deadly Middle TN tornadoes. He also released debut single “Dangerous Thing,” special Father’s Day song, “The Best Job I Ever Had” and heartwarming love song, “Nadine.” Gearing up to release his debut EP in January of 2020 with Danny Myrick at the helm, the 5-song project features an all-star lineup of musicians and songwriters including Dean Sams, Myrick, Jenne Fleenor, Dave Pahanish, Jamie Floyd and more. The EP will also feature a duet with a superstar artist that will be revealed in December of 2020.

Drawing inspiration from his childhood in the Dominican Republic, Hoot released a cover of “La Bamba” as his lead-off single from his forthcoming EP on November 6th, which landed in the Top 10 on the iTunes Latin charts. Fellow Season 17 The Voice contestant Ricky Duran is featured as the lead guitarist on “La Bamba” along with 8 other contestants who lent their vocals on the track from Hoot’s winning season.

Currently amassing over 3 million Apple Music and Spotify streams, nearly 70K downloads and celebrating his Grand Ole Opry debut, the future proves promising for this mega-talent with a heart of gold who is known by his 5-year old daughter simply as “Daddy.”
