Cloverdale, British Columbia, Canada – Award-winning Canadian bluegrass group, Jackson Hollow, is pleased to unveil “Roses”, the group’s debut album, arriving on all digital streaming platforms on March 10th from Mountain Fever Records.

A bluegrass-leaning record that touches on Americana and traditional country roots – but with a distinct modern polish – “Roses” features ten hand-picked songs from more than twenty songwriters from past and present. American stalwarts Melba Montgomery, Jerry Salley, Carl Jackson, and Leslie Satcher are among the notable talents alongside gifted Canadians Patricia Conroy, Doug Folkins, Duane Steele, Jake Matthews, and Maddison Krebs. CCMA Award-winner Tom McKillip (Aaron Pritchett, Lisa Brokop) produced six tracks on the record, while Jackson Hollow self-produced four – only adding to the care, craftsmanship, and overall authenticity of the final album.

ianna Lefebvre, lead vocalist of Jackson Hollow, says, “We wanted to create a collection of music that is more timeless than commercial. Everything from the choice of songs on ‘Roses’ to the instruments reflects a classic sound we believe in but with the advantages of modern recording.”

“The album is a love letter to the music that grabs us as artists. We feel that through the songs on ‘Roses’ – which range from happy and joyful all the way to the sad and contemplative – we can showcase the bluegrass genre to those waiting to discover it, while respecting the pioneers who started it,” adds Mike Sanyshyn, the group’s fiddle and mandolin player and harmony vocalist.

As married co-founders of the Cloverdale, British Columbia-based group, Lefebvre and Sanyshyn have guided Jackson Hollow on a notable journey that started with four BC Country Music Association Awards in the Gaylord Wood Traditional Country category, a 2021 IBMA World of Bluegrass International Showcase, and a deal with the Virginia-based Mountain Fever Records.

Following this, “Travelin’ Heart” and “Shallow Rivers” – Jackson Hollow’s first two singles– went Top 10 and Top 15 respectively on the US Bluegrass Today Charts, and were among Sirius XM’s Bluegrass Junction’s Top 3 played songs during release month. “Shallow Rivers” also hit #6 on the Roots Music Report. In 2022, the group’s third single, “Look Who’s Talking Now”, charted on US Bluegrass Today Charts, and the group enjoyed a Josie nomination Single of the Year (“Shallow Rivers”) and a slot at the Mountain Fever showcase during IBMA World of Bluegrass.

Having shown that there is a growing, receptive, and faithful audience for their sound, Jackson Hollow is confident that “Roses” – their debut album – will serve as just the first in a series of artistically authentic and impactful contributions to the bluegrass world as a whole.

Look for “Roses” across all digital streaming platforms on March 10th.
