“Hillbilly Jim” Morris To Be Inducted Into WWE® Hall of Fame

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — WWE Legend Hillbilly Jim will be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in a ceremony taking place on Friday, April 6 at the Smoothie King Center in New Orleans, La.  The induction ceremony will stream live on WWE Network at 8pm ET and USA Network will also broadcast a special presentation of the WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on Saturday, April 7 at 10 pm ET/PT and Monday, April 9 at 11 pm ET/PT, immediately following Raw®.

“It’s an honor, of course, to be inducted into this Hall of Fame. But honestly this isn’t about me. I’m accepting this on behalf of my family, my wonderful friends who have stood by me forever, and most importantly, all the people around the world who have enjoyed Hillbilly Jim through the years. We’re all going into the Hall of Fame.”

Jim has taken part in matches against the likes of Andre the Giant, Jesse “The Body” Ventura, Big John Studd, Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake, Ted DiBiase, Mr. Fuji, and King Kong Bundy among others. He has toured the U.S., Europe, Canada and Australia with WWE and appeared in multiple WrestleMania’s, WWE’s annual pop-culture extravaganza.

Since 2005, Jim has hosted the “Moonshine Matinee” on SiriusXM Satellite Radio’s Outlaw Country channel, playing classic country music and hosting legendary musical guests such as ZZ Top, John Fogerty, Charlie Daniels, Elvin Bishop, Kid Rock and John Anderson, to name a few. Other guests have included WWE Hall of Famers Dusty Rhodes, Mick Foley, George “The Animal” Steele and Jimmy Hart.
