“…A really unique sound – right between clearly country and that cool almost alt sound.
A similar lane to what HARDY and Koe Wetzel are carving, while also still uniquely identifiable.”

– Ty Bentli (Apple Music Country)

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Rising country stars, WAYLAND release “We Were Here” to streaming platforms everywhere today, Friday, February 24th. Listen to the track here.

“The song brings me right back to high school with my girlfriend Michele, driving around the backroads of Indiana, listening to music, making out in the driveway… and it always makes me remember that back then, the whole world just existed for the two of us. This song gives us the promise that, that feeling is always out there for us,” shares lead singer Mitch Arnold.

The band is celebrating with a single release party at Live Oak tonight at 6:30 pm CST with a free show.

“Over the past 10 years or so, I’ve learned that I can always count on Wayland to bring ‘The Show’. The boys always bring a great crowd of loyal fans every time they play and are also one of the easiest bands to work with. As the owner of Live Oak in Nashville and being an Associate Producer for Country Thunder Music Festivals, I always look forward to a WAYLAND show. For me, it’s a no brainer. They’re ‘A-List,'” beams Dave Johnson.

Hecho Tequila Soda is sponsoring the party which will be live streamed globally through the efforts of Picklejar, “the #ArtistFirst peer-to-peer cashless tipping app and social platform rewarding fans with weekly giveaways, artist merchandise, free concert tickets, and VIP experiences and where musicians and fans get more for their music.”

“PickleJar is thrilled to leverage its Artist First technology to assist WAYLAND in engaging with its ferocious fan base. We’re elated to give the fans a ‘peek behind the curtain’ to see everything that goes into what makes WAYLAND a world class act,” shares President and Co-founder Kristian Barowsky.

“We write and record so many songs, and some of them never get to chance to see the light of day. As a musician, there’s nothing more meaningful than getting to release your song out into the world. We can’t wait to play it for you and party with all our friends tonight. We hope you can make it out,” requests guitar player Phillip Vilenski.
