‘Haven’ From We Banjo 3 Is # 1 on Billboard’s Bluegrass Chart

BAND ANNOUNCES FALL TOUR DATES WITH SKERRYVORE

NASHVILLE, TN–We Banjo 3, an award-winning band from Galway, is pleased to announce their latest release, Havenis # 1 this week on Billboard’s Bluegrass chart. Other Billboard charts that include Haven: # 4 on World Albums, # 16 on Americana/Folk Album Sales, # 26 on Independent Albums, # 12 Heatseekers, # 4 Heatseekers East North Central, and # 4 Heatseekers Middle Atlantic. Additionally, last week Haven was # 11 on the New Artist Albums chart on Nielsen. This is no small feat for a self-released album!

Haven is the band’s 4th studio recording amd the follow up to their highly-acclaimed release, String Theory, which went to # 1 on Billboard’s World Music Chart in August of 2016.Haven was released on July 27th in conjunction the band’s U.S. and Canadian summer tour. We Banjo 3’s unique crossover of many genres of music is affectionately described as “Celt-grass”; it is beautifully reflected on Haven, which was produced by We Banjo 3 and co-produced withFrank Marchand (Bob Mould, Gaelic Storm) and Grammy-winning guitarist, Bryan Sutton(Ricky Skaggs, Dixie Chicks, Béla Fleck).  The 11 original compositions on Haven take the listener on an exploratory, honest and uplifting musical journey; it has been receiving rave reviews from the press and non-commercial radio.  AXS.com said, “Their songs fall comfortably into The Lumineers style of earnest folk pop anthems.”

We Banjo 3 has developed a loyal following in the U.S., Ireland and other parts of the world, winning over audiences at major music and Irish festivals and prestigious venues with their joyous live show. They are currently in the midst of an intense summer tour that will culminate with a performance at the Four Corners Folk Festival in Colorado on September 2nd.  They will resume touring in the U.S. and Canada with Skerryvore, an award-winning band from Scotland. Skerryvore’s eclectic fusion of rock, pop and traditional music has pleased audiences not only throughout Scotland and the UK, but also worldwide having performed in over 25 countries. With their outstanding musicianship and the mesmerizing voice of award-winning singer-songwriter, Alec Dalglish, Skerryvore has become an international sensation. The band was recognized as the “Live Act of the Year 2016” at the Scottish Traditional Music Awards, an award they previously won in 2011. The band is touring behind its 7th release, EVO.
