Grand Ole Opry To Celebrate America’s Birthday with Free All-American Plaza Parties

NASHVILLE, Tenn. –  The show that made country music famous is set to kick off July and America’s birthday weekend with free All-American Plaza Parties and Opry favorites on its world-famous stage Fri., July 1 and Sat., July 2. The music begins at 5 p.m. and is set to salute American Icons including Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, and Dolly Parton, among other favorites as performed by 50 Shades Of Hay on Friday and Shelley Skidmore & Greg Bates on Saturday. The weekend’s Opry line-up includes Vince Gill, Connie Smith, Larry Gatlin and the Gatlin Brothers, Ricky Skaggs, Love and Theft, and more. The Opry’s summer schedule will be in full swing throughout July, with Opry House Backstage Tours running seven days a week along with Opry performances each Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday night.
