Unique Nashville-based duo Gibson Wren brings heartfelt lyrics, hauntingly smooth harmonies and a pinch of a rockers edge to Father’s Day (June 19th) this year with their debut single release of My Father’s Son.
Just in time for Father’s Day, this song was crafted with quotes from the duo’s life experiences as they set out to pay their respects to the men who made them who they are today.
“This song is meant for everyone,” Gabriel Wren said. “It’s meant for those who had a father and those who didn’t, those who will become fathers or those who may have had a generational gap.”
“There’s also a Biblical and spiritual side to the song with the imagery of the Father and the Son,” added Dave Gibson. “This song truly speaks to any man that passes his legacy onto his son. It’s about the beginning and the legacy of a name.”
With a sound that is rooted in country and reminiscent of Seger, this dynamic duo is ready to hit the music scene in a colossal way with their debut single My Father’s Son. Now available on iTunes and other major digital outlets, this single was written by six time #1 hit songwriter Dave Gibson (formerly of The Gibson Miller Band – 1993 ACM Award Winners for Best New Group) and former rodeo cowboy, Military Veteran of three different branches of service (USMC, US Army and US Air Force), singer-songwriter Gabriel Wren (who had his first two songs featured on WGN America’s “Outlaw Country” (Bischoff Hervey Entertainment 2015)). The duo is also currently working on a fan generated video to be released with their debut single. It was a serendipitous meeting which seemed to be pulled straight from Hollywood that brought Gibson Wren together on the Songster Bus. Neither Gibson nor Wren were looking to tour or form a duo when they met, but when they wrote and sang together their harmonies and sound married perfectly.
