Frank Ray Hits Key West in Video for New Track “Tequila Mockingbird”

Frank Ray, former police officer turned country artist, has dropped the lead single, “Tequila Mockingbird,” from his upcoming second studio project. The release follows national tour dates in support of his debut EP, with two concurrent singles in the Top 10 on Texas Country charts and single “The Drive” still climbing at #4 currently.

The new track, “Tequila Mockingbird,” was recorded and produced in Nashville by Songwriter Hall of Famer and producer, Steve Dorff, and is available on all digital platforms.

“Tequila Mockingbird” is all about recognizing the small details of your significant other’s personality. Ray says the song “does that in a fun way” — he especially likes the line “If she’s a book, I’m getting hooked with every page that I turn” — and he wants listeners to be inspired to do the same. – The Boot

Rolling Stone has named Frank Ray an Artist You Need To Know, calling him “easygoing contemporary country with pop-soul hooks and a dash of southwestern spice.”
