Country Sway Exclusively Premieres First Listen
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Foundry Records recording artist and country singer-songwriter Austin Merrill goes “All In” with his latest single. Penned by Merrill and produced by Jacob Rice, the song explores the process of gambling on a relationship and is available now across all music platforms. To stream or download “All In,” click HERE.
Country Sway exclusively premiered a first listen to “All In” and deemed the single Merrill’s “catchiest song to date (Trevor Justin).” Merrill explained, “I wrote ‘All In’ earlier this year to convince myself to fully commit to a relationship I was in at the time. I fancy myself a bit of a poker player, and I figured since I’ve gone all in on the table before, why not go all in on love? Relationships are a gamble; you can win or lose. Ultimately, I lost that one, but I’m still glad I played the game. I think a lot of people can relate to that.”
“All In” follows the summer release of Merrill’s single “One More Mile,” produced by GRAMMY Award-winning producer Mark Bright (Carrie Underwood), which has garnered over 250,000 streams. American Songwriter exclusively debuted the video for “One More Mile,” filmed during the song’s recording session at Starstruck Studios. Raised On It praised “One More Mile” as “inspirational and empowering,” while Pro Country Music described the track as “something modern, but something that also still taps into the timeless aspects that make a genre great.”
Music has played an essential role in Merrill’s life from an early age, helping forge a strong sense of individuality and creativity in a multicultural family. The Oregon native first came to Nashville as an award-winning upright bassist and accomplished sax player. After graduating from Vanderbilt University, Merrill followed another lifelong calling and joined the U.S. Army where he finished up his service as a Lieutenant in the Tennessee Army National Guard this fall. GRAMMY®, ACM and CMA-winning Shenandoah recently selected Merrill’s song “Boots On Broadway” for their upcoming album, Every Road, available Nov. 13.
