Former Exile Member Bernie Faulkner Debuts Red Hot Video “Pot Belly Stove”

“This ain’t just a song – it’s a soundtrack. Sure brings back the memories” – Ed Morris, CMT.com

Nashville, TN – Singer/songwriter and former member of EXILE Bernie Faulkner makes his video debut with the red hot “Pot Belly Stove.”  The clip premieres globally this week on the syndicated hit television series, Bluegrass Ridge, and online today at Roughstock.com.  “Pot Belly Stove” is Faulkner’s first foray into the Bluegrass genre, and is the first single from his upcoming album.  Fans can purchase the track HERE.

Filmed at The Smokehouse, an old country store in Monteagle, Tennessee, the performance video is rich in atmosphere and charm.  Faulkner’s high-energy pickin’ style is evident; Diamond® matches, kindling, coal and ash are used to mirror the song’s lyrics and to set a sense of time and space.  Bernie appears comfortably sock-footed in the clip, an indication of how at home he feels in the environment.  The aroma of wood smoke is easy to imagine, as is the warmth and companionship to be found around a pot belly stove.  Paradestormer Productions (movies: “Texas Road,” “Baby Blues” / television: “Making It In Music City” for Amazon Prime) helmed the project, which was directed by Michael Giancana and produced by Faulkner.

“Pot Belly Stove” has fired up the imaginations of critics and industry insiders alike:

“Our show delivers new and classic Bluegrass music to its viewers and ‘Pot Belly Stove’ fits right in.  It’s a wonderful song and a great video that we’re proud to premiere on Bluegrass Ridge.  Our viewers worldwide are in for a treat.”
– Jeff Moseley, Executive Producer, CJM Productions

“A wonderfully crafted song, sung by a man who obviously knows the story firsthand and knows how to tell it to his audience … an honest, heartfelt delivery, backed by a crack band.”
– Larry Cordle, singer/songwriter

“Bernie’s been playing and writing music for years, and this song is catching on with a lot of people.  Brings back great memories of a better time, a simpler time … I feel like this one will climb up the chart.” – Larry Shell, songwriter

“A cleverly crafted single that will put a smile on your face and get your toes tapping.  This track is a dandy … I can’t wait to hear the completed project.”
