Country Stars Lee Brice, Tyler Farr and Justin Moore
perform in support of Folds of Honor
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – In recognition of Memorial Day, the newly formed Folds of Honor Tennessee Chapter raised $100,000 to provide educational scholarships to Folds of Honor recipients with the help of country music greats Lee Brice, Tyler Farr, and Justin Moore. Monday, May 25 through Wednesday, May 27 each artist performed a virtual concert as a part of the Folds of Honor Rock n Raise Virtual Concert Series. Viewers were able to donate via text or on the mySet app to support Folds of Honor while enjoying enlightening entertainment by top country music artists.
Sponsors of the event included Budweiser, Polaris Inc., Lucchese, and Southeastern Grocers, Inc., parent company and home of BI-LO, Fresco y Más, Harveys Supermarket and Winn-Dixie grocery stores. Budweiser created a patriotic beer can dedicated to Folds of Honor and $1 from each commemorative case sold will go directly to support Folds of Honor. Southeastern Grocers and the SEG Gives Foundation matched every dollar donated during the three-day event, while also hosting a six-week Folds of Honor round up donation program at their BI-LO, Harveys Supermarket, Fresco y Más and Winn-Dixie stores from Memorial Day to the Fourth of July. Polaris Inc. donated two full educational scholarships during the event, and Lucchese Bootmaker gave away Custom Folds of Honor limited edition boots to select contributors each night in support of Folds of Honor.

Folds of Honor CEO and Founder, Lieutenant Colonel Dan Rooney, made a remote appearance each night to provide a patriotic message to all viewers and to honor the more than 1 million veterans who paid the ultimate sacrifice. The series was emceed by Folds of Honor’s Major Ed Pulido, who lost his leg when his convoy hit an Improvised Explosive Device (I.E.D) while serving with the Coalition Military Assistance Training Team under the command of General David Petraeus. Major Ed’s heroism on that day resulted with the President of the United States, alongside General David Petraeus, awarding him with the Bronze Star with Valor, Purple Heart, Meritorious Service Medal, and Joint Service Commendation and Achievement Medals.
Major Ed Pulido has two daughters who are now Folds of Honor Scholarship Recipients.
