“Famous Friends” Celebrate Chart-Topping Success of Multi-Week No. 1 Single

Nashville, TN – Multi-platinum, global entertainer Chris Young (BMI) was joined by Chris’s co-writers, Cary Barlowe (SESAC) and Corey Crowder (ASCAP) yesterday to celebrate the chart-topping success of the CMA nominated, multi-week No. 1 single, “Famous Friends” with Kane Brown. Co-produced by Chris and Corey, “Famous Friends” not only topped the Country Aircheck/Mediabase and Billboard country radio charts, it also spent an astounding 15 weeks in the Top 5 on Billboard, marking the 12th career No. 1 for Chris and the 6th for Kane. “Famous Friends” is also Chris’s 10th chart-topper as a songwriter.

In addition to Chris, Cary and Corey being honored as songwriters for “Famous Friends’” chart-topping achievement during an intimate celebration at DawgHouse Saloon, the “anthemic collaboration” (American Songwriter) has earned RIAA Platinum certification. Earlier this year, Chris and Kane took home the CMT Music Awards trophy for Collaborative Video of the Year for “Famous Friends” and the pair are nominated for Single of the Year, Musical Event of the Year and Music Video of the Year at this year’s CMA Awards.
