Exclusive: Dallas Wayne Pays Tribute to Del Reeves on “Songs The Jukebox Taught Me: Volume 2”

Songs The Jukebox Taught Me: Volume 2 continues Dallas Wayne‘s 2016 classic country project as he revisits more of the songs that made him fall in love with the genre of country music. From Willie Nelson’s “Blame It On the Times” to Vern Gosdin’s “Is It Raining At Your House,” Wayne’s recordings pay tribute to those legends that inspire him to this day.

Available on June 22, Songs The Jukebox Taught Me: Volume 2 includes Del Reeves’ down-on-his-luck anthem “This Must Be The Bottom” released in 1966. “I’ve always been a fan of Del Reeves,” says Wayne. “He was a brilliant entertainer, but the songwriting team of Del and his wife, Ellen, was excellent as well.”

Wayne discusses the last time he saw Reeves perform at the Grand Ole Opry and his decision to cover “This Must Be The Bottom” in the exclusive video below:
