NASHVILLE, TENN. – British country trio Essex County is raising its glass to its first EP and a fourth new song – both released today.

The EP, named after the brother group’s debut single “So Good,” is also home to the acoustic version of “So Good”; “11:11” (Andrew DorffJon Nite and Lindsay Rimes); “For You” (Andrew Dorff and Josh Osborne); and “Cheers to You,” which Essex County members co-wrote with their producer Ron FairStefanie Ridel and Steve Diamond. Each new song was accompanied by a music video – all of which were released on Fridays in June.

“We’re just excited for people to hear our music and be able to share a collection of songs we believe in,” said the group’s singer Nate Bass. “While COVID-19 forced the music business to hit pause, we as a group never slowed down. We just found different ways to build connections with fans.”

Since its spring release, “So Good” has picked up nearly 1 million streams.  Due to its popularity on streaming services and CMT, the network has teamed with Essex County to release a video version of the EP – an unprecedented move for Country Music Television. “So Good,” which has been in the Top 12 on CMT since the video was released in April, will stay in rotation. The videos for “11:11,” “For You” and “Cheers to You” will be packaged and added to the network.

“We’ve been in love with these guys forever – incredible voices and harmonies,” raved Leslie Fram, CMT’s senior vice president of music strategy. “CMT is dedicated to artist discovery — especially a British trio.”

The songs and videos highlight the flexibility and diversity of Essex County’s growing music catalog.  There are remorse and hope in “11:11.” Unconditional love is the theme of their wedding song “For You.” And, “Cheers to You” is a raucous party anthem with a hell-raising video that features fellow country singers The Oak Ridge BoysRestless HeartTanya TuckerJamie O’Neal and The Bellamy Brothers. Weed Cellars, which recently came aboard as a sponsor for the trio, is also showcased in the clip.

“We wanted to pay homage to the rich vocal group history of The Oak Ridge Boys, Restless Heart and Nashville’s other vocal harmony groups,” said Essex County’s manager Rob Beckham. “These amazing groups paved the way for Essex County to crossover from the UK.”

“We’re so honored to have our musical idols in the music video with us,” Bass added.  “Growing up listening to these guys in the car with our parents and finally having them in a music video with us feels surreal.”
