Essex County Celebrates 500,000 Streams With One Month of Music and First EP

NASHVILLE, TENN. – Take two! In celebration of half of a million streams of their debut country single “So Good,” British brother trio Essex County released a live acoustic version of the hard-driving reflective mid-tempo on Friday.

“It’s a new perspective,” said singer Nate Bass, who along with brothers Mark Bass and Kieran Bass, comprise the group. “Playing ‘So Good’ acoustically puts a fresh spin on the story of this man who, like all of us at some point, wishes he had made different choices.”

“So Good” was produced by Grammy-winning producer Ron Fair and written by Ryan BeaverJon McLaughlin and the late Andrew Dorff. The song’s video has been in the Top 10 on CMT since it was released in early April.

The acoustic live version of “So Good” is just the top of the waterfall of songs that Essex County will release every Friday in June, which will culminate with the band’s first EP on June 26.

Also called “So Good,” the five-song EP will include: “So Good”; the live acoustic version of “So Good”; “11:11” (Andrew Dorff, Jon Nite and Lindsay Rimes); “For You” (Andrew Dorff and Josh Osborne); and “Cheers to You,” which Essex County members co-wrote with Fair, Stefanie Ridel and Steve Diamond. A music video will accompany each new song.

“Given the sweeping success of ‘So Good,’ we knew fans wanted more Essex County music,” said the band’s manager Rob Beckham. “The guys did daily Facebook livestreams for two months to figure out which songs connect best with fans. Then we took those songs and turned them into a diverse collection that we know will resonate with country music listeners.”

“The EP shows people what Essex County is musically made of,” added Cindy Watts, who handles day-to-day operations for the group. “There are remorse and hope in ’11:11,’ unconditional love in their wedding song ‘For You,’ and a raucous good time in their party anthem ‘Cheers to You.’ There’s a song for every situation.”

In addition to producing “So Good” and co-writing “Cheers to You,” Fair also produced the up-tempo banger. Hall of Fame songwriter and multi-million selling producer Steve Dorff produced “11:11” and “For You.” Steve Dorff is Andrew Dorff’s father. He couldn’t be more pleased with the music they created.

“These are great songs, great players, great harmonies and great guys,” Steve Dorff said. “I’m so proud of the music we’ve made together for this project.”
