Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena Scheduled For Opening Weekend

Nashville, TN – “Notorious road warrior” (Rolling Stone) Dierks Bentley released details today for his 2017 WHAT THE HELL WORLD TOUR launching Jan. 19 in Dayton, OH.  Known for having “always been one of Country’s most engaging performers” (Hartford Courant), Bentley will take the the first leg to 23 cities through April in both the US and Canada, making a notable stop its first weekend with a career-first for Bentley – headlining Nashville’s Bridgestone Arena on Jan. 21.  Special guests Cole Swindell and Jon Pardi will round out the full-throttle weekend party. Pre-sale tickets for select dates including Nashville go on sale Tuesday (10/4), with the first public on-sales scheduled for this Friday, Oct. 7 at www.dierks.com and www.livenation.com.

Coming off the electricity and emotion of two nights at Red Rocks last week, it felt right to just go ahead and announce plans for next year and keep this thing rolling,” shared Bentley. “There’s a song on my album called ‘What The Hell Did I Say’ and it seemed like an appropriate title for a tour with Cole and Pardi. I have a feeling I’ll be asking myself that question the morning after many of our shows and late night hangs because you really don’t know what will happen when the three of us get together. There has been a lot of drunk calls and texts between all of us over the last year trying to make this tour happen, and I’m excited we were able to pull it off.”

Since moving from Phoenix to Nashville, Bentley has established his own artistic trail in Country music. Instead of rehashing proven formulas, he’s doggedly reinvented his sound and subsequently developed an uncommon mix of commercial success and critical respect. Known for “traveling his own path…Country music’s most relatable star” (Esquire) recently released his eight studio album BLACK, which ranks as the best selling release of Bentley’s career, after debuting at the No. one position on Billboard’s Top Albums Chart and Top Country Albums chart. The critically-acclaimed album has already spawned the PLATINUM certified chart-topping hit “Somewhere On A Beach” and GOLD “Different For Girls” featuring Elle King. Bentley has now amassed 15 No. one songs, 13 GRAMMY nominations and is currently a top CMA nominee with four total nods including Male Vocalist of the Year, Album of The Year, Vocal Event of the Year and Video of the Year categories. “The  bluegrass  picker,  the  love  song  singer  and  the stadium rocker all packaged together” (Associated Press) has been a Grand Ole Opry member for over a decade and is currently set to head into the second leg of his headlining 2016 SOMEWHERE ON A BEACH TOUR on October 13.

Cole Swindell, a current CMA New Artist of the Year nominee, is a Platinum-selling recording artist and record-breaking five-time No. 1 hit maker, who recently released his second album You Should Be Here. The album debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes Top Country Albums Chart and No. 3 All Genre chart within hours of release. Its lead single and title track held a four week run on top of Billboard’s Hot Country songs chart in addition to multiple weeks sitting at No. 1 on country airplay. His Platinum-certified “You Should Be Here” already boasts over 50 million streams and has surpassed over 1 BILLION total audience impressions. The song joins Swindell’s first four No. 1 consecutive singles from his Platinum selling self-titled debut album, which tops his own record of being the only solo artist in the history of Country Aircheck/Mediabase to top the chart with his first five singles. His current single “Middle Of A Memory” is already in the Top 10 and still climbing. To date, Swindell has sold over 1.5 million total album equivalents in the two years since his debut.

Jon Pardi is one of country music’s most entertaining and fastest rising newcomers. Dubbed “a triumph of gritty, honky-tonkin’, old-school country” by HITS Magazine, Pardi’s recently released No. 1-debuting album, California Sunrise, features the Platinum-selling No. 1 hit “Head Over Boots” and has already landed on multiple “Best of” lists including Rolling StoneThe Tennessean and NASH Country Daily. Additional hits include “Up All Night,” “When I’ve Been Drinkin,’” “What I Can’t Put Down” and Pardi’s latest single, “Dirt On My Boots.”
