Born in Mobile, Alabama, raised in nearby small towns, this fifth generation farm-boy, is a good lookin’, 6′ 5” country-boy with an infectious smile, must read all-American story! No doubt every Country Artist has some kind of story… from heartaches and breakups, lovin’ and the likeness, dirt roads and cold beer drinkin’ stories, but there’s just something triumphant and a tad more special about a Veteran’s story mixed with country songs.
A United States Army Veteran and Wounded Warrior, Derek found a way to serve beyond his oath to our Nation. After sustaining multiple severe injuries, Derek found his way to Nashville and carved his name into history with his first hit. He also holds a Master’s degree (MBA) from Colorado State and Bachelor’s from the University of Alabama amongst many accolades and prestigious awards.
