Country Fans are Flipping Their Lid Over Dave McElroy’s New Single “Trucker Hat” with Streams Over 100k

The Upbeat, Singalong Single Breaks onto the Radio Charts at #52

“Song of the Summer! Roll down the windows, crank it up, and sing along!”
– Heath Shelby, KWCK

Nashville, Tenn., — Country newcomer Dave McElroy released his new single, “Trucker Hat,” just as the COVID-19 restrictions started to hit across the U.S., and much to his surprise it became the fifth most added single on Billboard’s Country Indicator Chart and clocked it in as the second most added on Music Row Chart.  The super-charged single now readies for an accompanying music video to be released, as McElroy patiently awaits to hit the road again.

“It’s been so hard to stay at home and not get out there to perform the new single,” says McElroy.  “I want us all to be safe, but watching the digital streams grow and getting amazing feedback from friends at radio, plus summer being in the air, I am ready to hit the road.”

Following his radio-loved “Bulletproof” (2018) and his turn it up, suntanned summer song “Chill” (2019), McElroy has brought his artistic energy again with his new, speaker-shakin’ single “Trucker Hat.” Produced by Bridgette Tatum and co-penned by Tatum, Jason Matthews and Jayce Hein, the song’s energetic production combined with McElroy’s raspy, recognizable twang will soon find its way on a stage, along with the eager McElroy, as he is set to take the show on the road starting in July.

Performances in and around the mid-west are confirmed including the NASHLO Summer Concert Series at Captain’s Getaway at Iowa’s Lake Okoboji on July 24.  For up-to-date touring information, visit www.davemcelroy.com.
