Country/Americana Artist & Trivago Spokesperson Tim Williams Premieres New Album “Magnolia City”

Fans Worldwide are Invited to Stream His Live Performance/Interview on WSM’s “Nashville Today” with Devon O’Day Friday, September 28 at 5 PM CT

Tim Williams, an artist and actor that would most recently be recognized as the face and voice of Trivago across North America, emerges on the Country/Americana scene with his debut project Magnolia City available on iTunesApple MusicAmazonGoogle Play & Spotify today.  Produced by Norbert Hamm, the producer behind Herbert Gronemeyer Germany’s most successful artist with more than 17 million albums sold, Magnolia City features ten songs all chronicling a chapter in Tim’s life from the past 15 years that this Houston, TX native has been residing in Berlin and the experiences he’s gained traveling the globe as an actor and spokesperson.

“I’m so happy that this day has finally come,” says Tim. “I’m so proud of Magnolia City and so eager for all of you to hear it. We put a lot of work into it and every time I listen to it, I’m still finding something new and it makes me smile. We called it Magnolia City because we were looking for another name for my hometown Houston, TX. It turns out, it was a nickname for the city back in the early 1900s, because of its many magnolia trees. You’ll find songs about my time in Berlin, break-ups, my dad, my kids and of course good ole Houston.”

Tim has spent the week in Nashville connecting with iHeartRadio’s nationally syndicated Crook and Chase, AXS.com, Digital Journal, Millennial Money Podcast, Sounds Like Nashville, Cowboys & Indians among many others.  In addition, he attended the 60th Anniversary of the Country Music Association where he was wowed by the line-up and the hits that influenced his own sound being performed on the Wildhorse Saloon stage. His album release day will be capped with a premiere performance on the “Home of the Grand Ole Opry” WSM-650 AM’s “Nashville Today” with Devon O’Day and Lexi Carter.  Fans around the globe can tune in at 5 PM CT at www.wsmonline.com as Tim discusses the making of the record and performs live.

“I’ve known Tim as a friend for many years,” says Producer Norbert Hamm. “When he told me that he wanted to record a country album, I instantly agreed because my musical career actually started with a country band in Germany. Tim and I clicked instantly writing songs together and I look forward to working with this incredibly talented artist again.”

“On Magnolia CityWilliams shares his own stories, writing or co-writing every song on the album. He has a gift for penning songs rich in imagery and filled with unbridled emotion. He brings each song to life with a warm, whiskey-tinged voice that sounds like a man who has experienced much in life and is anxious to share a few tales.” – Deborah Evans Price for Sounds Like Nashville.

“We all wondered, ‘Who is this guy?’ when he hit TV in the Trivago commercials and now Country/Americana fans will be wondering the same thing!  ’This guy’ is Tim Williams and his album Magnolia City is a perfect album of music that draws on his life experiences, but like his TV commercial role, they’re stories of the everyman—easy to relate to.  They’re ‘life’ set to a melody from a celebration of Tim’s Houston home to an endearing portrait of his time in Berlin.  You won’t have to travel far to get an album you’ll love!” – Cameron “Camo” Wallace Co-host of the Nashville Access  radio show and podcast

“Forget the Dos Equis dude, Trivago Guy is the most interesting man in the world,” -James Montgomery Rolling Stone

“You know him mostly from his acting and the Trivago TV ads, but did you also know he could sing?  Um, yeah…he can!  Get ready to wrap your ears around his new single and CD of the same name, Magnolia City!  What a down to earth, easy to talk to guy with a voice and personality you’re going to enjoy!” – Debbie Mazella Magic 98.3 Somerset, NJ
