NASHVILLE, Tenn. –  Warner Bros. / Warner Music Nashville’s hit recording artist Cole Swindell released his brand new album You Should Be Here on Friday (5/6), available now in stores and at all major digital retailers. Within hours of its release the album, whose title track has already earned it a chart-topping single, shot to No. 1 on the iTunes Top Country Albums Chart and No. 3 All Genre.

To celebrate and kick off the album, WKRN Channel 2 News announced that Swindell hosted a special pop-up performance on Friday for his fans at The Stage on Lower Broadway in Nashville.

Swindell will continue his exciting album launch throughout the next week with events all across the country. In addition to being featured in Friday’s AUDIENCE network special Cole Swindell Live on AT&T at the iHeartRadio Theater, the rising superstar stopped at Joe’s Live in Chicago Saturday evening before his sold-out concert at Gramercy Theatre in New York City yesterday, May 8, which streamed live to fans via Live Nation. He also is set to perform on Good Morning America May 9 and Fox & Friends May 10 as well as both TODAY and Jimmy Kimmel Live! May 11.

Marking the first ever live concert event from the World Trade Center terrace overlooking the Freedom Tower, Swindell will perform his multi-week No. 1 single “You Should Be Here” to a very special audience, which will be broadcast by Fox & Friends.

Swindell, who recently joined with Shazam as the first artist ever to engage fans in a nationwide scavenger hunt using the platform giant’s three technologies (audio, visual and geo-locative), hosted the hunt’s final round while in New York City on May 9. The grand champion of the “Shazam Sprint Through New York City” will win an all-expenses paid trip to Nashville during CMA Music Festival this June courtesy of Warner Music Nashville.

The Platinum-selling singer/songwriter also took today to share his new single, “Middle of a Memory,” with country radio. Written by Swindell, Ashley Gorley and Zach Crowell, “Middle of a Memory” follows the singer/songwriter’s latest No. 1 smash, “You Should Be Here.”

With over 32 million streams, 570,000 tracks sold and more than 16 million YouTube views, the lead single and title track of the album recently reigned on the charts. “You Should Be Here” held a four week run on top of Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart (tally of digital streams, radio airplay and sales) in addition to its multiple weeks sitting at No. 1 on country airplay. The song joins Swindell’s first four No. 1 consecutive singles as a solo artist (including Gold-certified “Let Me See Ya Girl,” along with Platinum-certified hits “Hope You Get Lonely Tonight,” “Ain’t Worth The Whiskey” and “Chillin’ It”) and marks his eighth overall as a songwriter. Swindell has sold 1.1 million total album equivalents in the two years since his debut, including 4.5 million tracks and 275 million streams.
