NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Country-rocker Adam Rutledge’s career is continuing to take-off as CMT world premieres the charming music video for his current single “Love Kickin’ In” today on CMT.com (click HERE to watch).

“Having my “Love Kickin’ In” music video premiered on CMT.com is a huge career milestone for me. I can remember waking up on the weekends when I was in high school and walking downstairs to CMT blaring on my parents’ TV. I think people look to CMT to see who the next big artist is. I know I do, so I’m honored and humbled to have my music video on CMT.com,” Rutledge expressed.

The “up-tempo, spitfire tune” (Markos Papadatos/Digital Journal) describes the emotions one experiences while falling in love with lyrics like: “It feels like a jet plane on a runway about to fly, fly” (Jeff Smith, Juliana Songs and Kellys Collins). These lyrics, along with the creative minds of directors, Abbey and Ben Boutwell, inspired the choice of Nashville’s Cornelia Fort Airpark for the video location.

Rutledge stars in the music video alongside ‘love interest’ and Nashville recording artist Fiona Culley. In a recent Celeb Secrets Country interview, he shared exclusive behind-the-scenes photos and stories from the shoot ranging from a reenactment of the iconic “Dirty Dancing” lift to a run-in with local law enforcement.

Runway, the title of Rutledge’s new record, also ties back to the “Love Kickin’ In” lyrics and aptly reflects the momentum the rising singer-songwriter is currently experiencing. The seven-song collection, which showcases “catchy guitar intros and a lyrical depth to his songwriting” (Sports & Entertainment Nashville/Bob Paxman), was produced by “Love Kickin’ In” co-writer and longtime Phil Vassar collaborator, Jeff Smith, with Hunter Hayes’ band leader Andy Sheridan (CharlieHorse Productions). Through his connection with Smith, the Roanoke, Va. native caught the attention of Vassar, who took the fellow Virginian under his wing as a management client and opening act. “Phil’s been from day one super supportive. He’s got great advice on how to do this music business thing. Even more importantly, he knows what not to do, which is fantastic,” Rutledge shared with The Roanoke Times Music Reporter Tad Dickens.

The emerging entertainer is currently on the road promoting Runway and entertaining audiences with his high-energy performances. Be sure to follow Rutledge on FacebookInstagramTwitter and visit his website adamrutledgemusic.com.
