Nashville, Tenn. – Rising country artist Chase Sansing has released a cover of Aerosmith’s classic power ballad “Angel” which has already drawn industry acclaim by other country musicians and rock artists alike. Click HERE to watch the video.
The track, written by Aerosmith front man Steven Tyler and super-producer Desmond Child features Sansing’s soaring vocals in what the artist describes as one of the most difficult songs he has ever recorded.
“This song really pushed me out of my comfort zone and I had a great time recording it,” states Sansing. “I am such a huge fan of Aerosmith and I hope I was able to do the song justice.”
Sansing also recently released a rendition of Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie’s “We Are the World”, which was filmed throughout Nashville to raise awareness of homelessness in the city.
The touching music video also features local Nashville musicians Kelsey Malone, Justin Shaw and Rae Cecil trading verses similar to the original USA for Africa video released in 1985.
“I chose to rerecord ‘We Are the World’ because I wanted shine a light on the issue of homelessness in Nashville,” states Sansing. “While our local economy is growing, there are many people being left behind and I really want to do all I can to bring awareness to this problem.”
In 2017, there were over 2,300 homeless people living in Nashville and that number continues to grow each day. The video incorporates footage of local homeless individuals living on the streets of Music City.
