Casi Joy Releases New Song “The Money”

“She has this electric energy when she’s on stage and has these unique things that she can do vocally. She’s an edgier version of a country artist. She’s old school but has a youthful energy about her. There’s no stopping Casi Joy.” – Blake Shelton

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Rising independent singer/songwriter Casi Joy releases her new self-penned song “The Money” TODAY. Joy, a popular ‘Team Blake’ alum on NBC’s highly-rated The Voice, releases “The Money” across all digital service providers including Apple Music, iTunes, Spotify and Pandora among others HERE.

“I feel like [‘The Money’] really represents a lot of what everyday people go through with money struggles, but how we keep selling ourselves this lie that ‘it ain’t about the money,’” said Joy. “We don’t want our lives to revolve around money, but it’s nearly impossible to live without it. At one point or another, we’ve all had our financial struggles; especially when trying to make it in the music biz. I remember Luke Bryan telling me about sleeping on a concrete floor when he first came to Nashville, and I was like, ‘BEEN THERE!’”

“I’m beyond excited to release ‘The Money’ after sitting on this finished version for over a year! I wrote it from my personal experience of barely making it financially, and even hiding my truck from the repo people! I think we’ve all been there in one way or another; where you don’t need to be a millionaire, you just wanna be able to answer your phone without it being a collector! I hope this song brings some light-heartedness to the struggle or idea that we tell ourselves it’s not about the money; it’s much easier to say that if your bills are paid!”

With over 35 Million cumulative streams under her belt, Joy has held nothing back with her new song “The Money,” produced by Sean Giovanni (The Record Shop).

The fiery redhead with powerhouse vocals quickly became a fan-favorite on The Voice after she was a unanimous “4 chair turn” and was named by Rolling Stone as one of the “Top 10 Blind Auditions of All Time.” After making the live finals and being away from home on the road for months at a time, she and her husband sold their home in late 2019 and have since toured the US and Canada in their tour bus which they now call home.

Joy has since amassed over 27 million+ video views and garnered over 306,000 followers on social media. Joy’s sophomore EP “The Bright Side” debuted at #19 on iTunes Country albums chart.

Before the COVID-19 crisis, Joy had been on a steady climb amassing millions of streams, video views and a rapidly growing touring career making a name for herself all over the country. Having had to cancel her tour in 2020 because of the pandemic and venues being closed, Joy decided to take her livelihood and passion for performing into her own hands and she and her husband continued to travel all over the US booking themselves at RV resorts and campgrounds to perform safely for families in these campgrounds who were looking for refuge from the pandemic, but craving music and hope just like she was. Joy says of the experience, “It was the perfect socially distanced solution where people just stayed at their rigs and honked their horns after each song! It’s all about spreading JOY and going wherever the music takes us!”
