Carly Pearce Takes Grand Ole Opry Stage For 75th Time

Performs Chart-Ascending Duet + Honors Late Producer busbee – Watch Here

NASHVILLE, TN  – Bittersweet is a feeling CARLY PEARCE knows well. Saturday night (6/6) was no exception as she stepped onto the Grand Ole Opry stage for her 75th appearance following her debut performance on May 30, 2015. Opening the Bobby Bones-hosted livestream, Carly and Lee Brice offered a powerful version of their Top 5-and-rising duet “I Hope You’re Happy Now” she penned alongside Luke Combs, Jonathan Singleton and Randy Montana. The GOLD-certified song has amassed over 183 million global streams and charted No. 1 on Country radio in Canada. As the revered venue remains without an audience in the midst of the pandemic, Carly’s aching vocals and reflective lyrics were a reminder that music can transcend the moment. Unknowingly working together for the last time earlier this year, Carly dedicated a new song called “Show Me Around” to her late producer and mentor busbee, honoring his memory and offering hope to his family. “At his funeral, a songwriter that all of us in Nashville love named Barry Dean, gave the most beautiful speech. And busbee has three little girls and a beautiful wife, and he painted this picture of Heaven that was so beautiful to me… if anybody’s ever lost anybody this felt like a really cool way to look at our loved ones that are going to meet us in Heaven and show us around.” She concluded with a song special to them both, “Every Little Thing,” the PLATINUM-certified ballad that became her first No. 1 and reminder of how honest collaborations can bring light out of darkness.
