NASHVILLE, TN – Bri Bagwell rings in the holiday season with a festive EP, Red or Green, available on all streaming platforms now. Included in this collection of Christmas songs is her never before heard acoustic cover of Elvis Presley’s, “Blue Christmas.” In celebration of the release, Bri is headlining her First Annual Christmas Party at Billy Bob’s Texas on December 22. Over the years Bagwell has released a series of Christmas singles and has now gathered them together for her latest EP. From the classics to her originals, this collection includes a little bit of everything for everyone to enjoy. “I’m excited to release this collection of songs, because they’re all so different. Two are original songs, and two are classic covers. There’s upbeat songs, a waltz, a duet with my man, and an acoustic stripped down version of one of my favorites. It’s something for everyone. It’s both red and green,’ laughs Bri.
Bagwell has always loved this time of year and spends it in her hometown in New Mexico. She recalls, “Mom and Dad would use Christmas records blasting through the house to wake us up during the holidays. Christmas music is “home” to me. I always go home to New Mexico for Christmas, and the music is always there waiting.” The title, Red or Green, was derived from ordering one of her hometown staples: enchiladas. Bagwell shares, “When ordering enchiladas they ask, “Red or Green?” If you want both kinds of chile, you tell the waitress “Christmas.” That’s where I got the EP title!”
