The Lead Track from Forthcoming Album This Must Be The Place
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Country/pop artist Brandon Stansell is back with the introspective release of “Wild Ride” available now. Serving as the first release from the newly announced LP This Must Be The Place, due out June 24, the song enjoyed an exclusive premiere with People Country yesterday celebrating the “inspirational feel” of the track. Highlighting the ups and downs of the past two years and beyond, “Wild Ride” is a welcomed moment of reflection and positivity for Stansell who shared what the song meant to him with People Country. “This song is a marker for me — a chance to reflect on the past both the good and bad. And more importantly, a chance to look forward to what’s ahead because I truly do believe all my best days as an artist and as a human being are still ahead of me.”
The track is a hint of what is to come on the full-length project that follows an EP of the same name. The LP, which features four brand new songs, has provided Stansell a chance to take on the role of co-producing for the first time. Since releasing his debut single seven years ago, Stansell has carved out a unique niche within country music. An ardent advocate for the queer community and the advancement of LGBTQ artists within the genre, Stansell has paved the way for better representation. In 2018, his music video for “Hometown” was the first LGBTQ-themed video ever premiered on CMT and named one of Rolling Stone’s 10 Best Country Videos of the Year. In 2020, in conjunction with his Hurt People EP, he premiered his documentary Three Chords And A Lie, at OutFest in Los Angeles painstakingly highlighting his struggles with his Southern Baptist family as he prepares for his first hometown show. As he continues to grow, his music and artistry prove no niche label is needed – he’s making music for everyone.
