Nashville bred band takes part in AMERICANAFEST
NASHVILLE, TENN. – Nominated by The Tennessean for “Best Local Band,” Boy Named Banjo will soon take part in The Americana Music Festival & Conference. The roots rock band will perform at Soulshine Pizza Factory, located at 1907 Division Street, on Friday, September 15. Show time is 8:00pm. The 18th annual Americana Music Festival & Conference is one big event that joins legendary artists with upcoming stars, industry professionals and fans for six days. Tickets can be purchased here.
The Nashville residents formed their band in 2011 and released their debut project, The Tanglewood Session, all before receiving their high school diplomas. All five band members share a love for songwriting, performing, and roots music, and it’s that passion that earned them a well deserved appearance at Bonoroo amplifying their growing popularity in the southeastern music scene and taking them to the next level.
The sky is the limit for this band of brothers who Sonicbids appropriately nicknamed “Tennessee’s Americana apostle group.” Already, Boy Named Banjo has six years of touring under their belt and have acquired over 2.5 million streams. Today, they are playing in theaters and music halls across the country in support of their newest EP titled Lost On Main and have managed to turn heads as a rising force in Nashville’s outside-the-mainstream roots scene.
