Shooter Jennings Produced “Better Hope You Die Young”
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Country music icon Tanya Tucker collaborates with Leroy Virgil (of Hellbound Glory) in an exclusive Record Store Day release of “Better Hope You Die Young.” The song’s “cautionary tale of the consequences of living life hard, with an easy groove that’s perfectly complemented by the whiskey soaked vocals of this pair of road warriors” (Parade/Laura Whitmore) was produced by Shooter Jennings.
“Shooter is such a sweetheart. I just love him to death. We recorded it LIVE with the band! I thought that was really cool and that’s kind of unusual these days. It was back to the basics and I enjoyed that,” Tanya Tucker said.

“I really like the song,” adds Tanya. “I think Leroy and the band are just fantastic. They don’t fit into any category or genre – they’re a little bit of outlaws, just like me!”
