Ben Rue Launches Accu-Check® Sponsorship At Debut iHeart Country Festival Appearance

Ben Rue, an emerging country act whose debut release spent 14 weeks inside the Billboard Country Airplay Top 60, launched a sponsorship with Roche Diabetes Care, makers of Accu-Chek® Guide with a two-day iHeartCountry Festival engagement in Austin, TX. The event marked the official launch of the endorsement campaign for the Oregon reared performer who was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of 14.

“I’m excited to team up with Accu-Chek Guide on the launch of my new album Back to the Nights,” says Ben.  “As a person with diabetes, I understand the hurdles that those diagnosed with diabetes face every day to live a balanced, healthy lifestyle and I’m happy to share my story and raise awareness about the products and services that Accu-Chek® provides to us. This sponsorship allowed me to make my first appearance at the iHeartCountry Festival and I enjoyed meeting fans and making new ones that weekend.”

Ben served as a host for the Daytime Village at the iHeartCountry Festival on Saturday, May 6 and made his red carpet premiere alongside Kip Moore, Rascal Flatts, Little Big Town, Dierks Bentley, Jake Owen, Lady Antebellum and Darius Rucker before the main stage performance.  Beyond the festival, area media outlets welcomed him in studio with performances at FOX’s Good Day Austin, CBS’s We Are Austin and KVET-FM. Click below to view a re-cap of the experience.
