Fresh off the successful release of her new album, Road Less Traveled (which peaked at no. 11 on the iTunes Country Album Chart), rising country artist Alyssa Bonagura is now gaining worldwide attention with her single, “Rebel.”
The emotional piano-driven ballad is currently no. 23 on Country Music Channel’s (CMC) top 30 countdown in Australia. The song’s corresponding music video, which was directed by Dallas Wilson and premiered on CMT earlier this fall, is in rotation on CMC as well.
Highlighting Bonagura’s captivating vocals and sincere songwriting style, “Rebel” has proven to be both a fan and critic favorite alike. “It’s my favorite song on the album,” says the Franklin, Tenn. native. “It was really written as a prayer when I needed to be reminded that we are all humans trying to figure out who we are.”
The winning tune is one of ten tracks on the album, all of which were written or co-written by Alyssa herself. The project has been garnering rave reviews since its release in September.

This success has earned the songwriting starlet an upcoming performance on one of the most iconic country music stages – the Grand Ole Opry. Alyssa is scheduled to make her solo debut on December 23.
