Critically-acclaimed artist and “fixture on Nashville’s Indie singer-songwriter scene (Rolling Stone),” Alyssa Bonagura, has released the third single “Paper Airplane” off her upcoming album out later this year. The poetic track once again proves she is as talented a singer as she is a songwriter and producer. “Paper Airplane” is available on all streaming platforms today.

“Paper Airplane” follows the release of Alyssa’s rising radio hit ”New Wings” and second track “Last Night in December,” which together landed her on numerous streaming playlists including New Music Friday, New Music Daily, Fresh Finds Pop, Next from Nashville, CMT Next Women, Today’s Country, and more. Fans continue to flock to Alyssa’s music and she has accumulated over 5 million streams and a devoted army of social media followers.

“’Paper Airplane’ was a song I started and couldn’t finish for a few months. I just love the imagery of relating a paper airplane to love,” shares Alyssa. “We never know what’s going to happen when we fall, and we put so much faith into this thing we’ve created. Sometimes it can soar, and sometimes it crash & burn, but it’s not the kind of plane you wanna fly if you want security and safety. During lockdown in 2020, I connected with some of my dearest friends over FaceTime, and one of those friends was Scott Mulvahill. I told him about the song and asked if he could help me complete it, and sure enough in about 20 min, the song was finished over the phone with the hook line “We were never gonna make it in a paper airplane” that hit straight to my soul.”
