Alt Country Star Corey Smith Announces Fall “West Bound and Down” Tour

First Ever West Coast Headlining Shows Revealed

Nashville, TN – Acclaimed singer/songwriter, producer and guitarist Corey Smith has announced that he will launch his inaugural headlining west coast tour run this fall in support of his newest release, While The Gettin’ Is Good.

Smith’s “West Bound and Down” fall 2016 tour dates will feature stops at Tractor Tavern in Seattle,September 28, Great American Music Hall in San Francisco on October 4, and The Mint in Los Angeles, October 6.

Smith’s live shows have garnered critical praise from outlets such as Rolling Stone Country saying, “Shortly into the Jefferson, Georgia singer-songwriter’s set on the Riverfront stage, CMA Fest organizers were forced to close the gates. Such was the demand to see Smith, an artist wildly popular among college kids (and those long since out of the dorms) for coming-of-age songs like ‘Twenty-One,’ ‘If I Could Do It Again’ and the winking ‘Ain’t Going Out Tonight.’ In a denim-vest-on-denim ensemble, Smith may have looked like the cool guy who never leaves campus, but his set revealed a soul-searching that only comes from equal parts experience and intellect.”

Nash Country Weekly states, “Smith is as a performer and songwriter, an artist who may reside on the fringes of country music, but one who has earned the kind of rural cred that others can only dream of.”

Other dates of note on the tour include Grizzly Rose in Denver, September 23, Aladdin Theater in Portland on September 23 and The State Room in Salt Lake City, September 24. A full list of dates is included below.

Smith says, “The eastern half of the country has been wonderful to me over the years. It’s pretty amazing to think how far we’ve come since the early days of playing little bar gigs around GA. Now we draw great crowds from New England to south Florida and Chicago to Dallas. It’s mostly a function of having passionate fans who share the music with others, but also a result of never being afraid to go into new places and earn fans the old fashioned way. That’s why I am so excited to be heading out west this fall. After a decade of playing songs for a living, nothing gets my juices flowing like performing somewhere new. It keeps me young and always reminds me that every place I have fans was once somewhere I’d never been.”

Beginning on Friday his tour will also give fans the opportunity to enter to win a VIP Tour Pass on CoreySmith.com. The VIP Tour Pass will get one lucky winner and a friend tickets to every show on the West Coast Run. Fans can also download images with their specific city to share on their social media, change out their profile photos, share with friends & family, and more.

Smith created a personal video for his fans to announce the shows.
