AUGUST 4TH ON CMT MUSIC AND CMT.COM

Nashville, TN– Country newcomer Alexis Wilkins has been named CMT‘s Next Up Now Artist of the Month for August 2020. CMT will be premiering the music video for her new song “If I’m Being Honest” on CMT Music and CMT.com on August 4th, so stay tuned!

Alexis released “If I’m Being Honest” along with two more songs – “615” and “RSVP” – in early July and hosted an array of activities to celebrate the music. She partnered with Musicians On Call for the release and taped a video message and virtual concert, which were broadcast at VA hospitals nationwide on the 4th of July. She was also invited to be the first performer for the inaugural Musicians On Call virtual performance for the VA. The Savannah Ga.-based boutique Satchel produced 400 USA-themed fabric masks specifically for the music release; half were given to fans by Wilkins at her appearances around Nashville, with a matched amount donated to Musicians On Call by Wilkins and Satchel.

On release weekend, she took to the streets of Nashville to meet fans and play her new songs. In honor of her track “615,” renowned Music City-based artist Rob Hendon created a 9 x 12-foot patriotic guitar mural that Wilkins traveled with to various iconic tourist locations throughout the area, including historic Leipers Fork.

Wilkins continued her release month activities by opening for country music icon Sara Evans on two outdoor shows in Virginia and by continuing a series of virtual concerts and Instagram takeovers for outlets such as American SongwriterSounds Like Nashville, and Country Note.
